Courtney and Eric Waldrop will be trying to navigate how to take care of six newborns while also being present for their three older children. Sleepless nights and working through unchartered territory are something the Waldrops will be dealing with for the foreseeable future. Sweet Home Sextuplets will chronicle everything from the bed rest to the journey home for all six of the Waldrop sextuplets. There will be plenty of real moments moms can relate to on the newest TLC show. She is dealing with an incredibly high-risk pregnancy and NICU stays for the babies are inevitable. TLC has already had plenty of success with shows about multiples but Courtney and Eric Waldrop are a little different.
Then, she shared some shots of the boys and girls blowing out the candles on their cakes. She said in her caption that there were “30 candles.” However, the post about Blu got fans giggling a bit as he guzzled up his food. Rumors that the TLC show might be canceled came true last year and fans were terribly sad. However, they understood that Eric and Courtney Waldrop felt that it was best for the children.
The Waldrops faced a 'hard' decision
The channel, known for filming unique real life stories, followed the Waldrops for three seasons, before the family decided to call it quits. In 2021, TLC approached the Waldrops about adding a 4th season. "We have decided that what's best for our family ... is to not continue with the show," said Courtney.
The hit TLC show, "Sweet Home Sextuplets," followed the trials and travails of the Waldrop family since its premiere in 2018. But, they feel in their heart of hearts it is time to move on. The couple agree that making the decision to be part of a reality TV show was not an easy one. Courtney and Eric prayed about it and talked about it. Eventually, they made the decision to be a part of the series. Sweet Home Sextuplets follows the Waldrop family and their nine children — yes, you read that right, nine! When trying for a fourth, and final, child, the couple was surprised to find that they were pregnant with six healthy babies, turning the Waldrops into a family of 11. For now, TLC has given Sweet Home Sextuplets six one-hour episodes that will begin in September. As for what the future holds for the Waldrops, that is unclear at the moment. Fans will have to tune in and see what all the hype is about.
Though fans are eager for a new season of the show the family are continuing life as normal off camera. Enjoying time in their family home in Alabama, and working on making it the best place for their children. As for the parents, in June of this year Courtney told followers the two were celebrating 26 years of marriage together. The video montage shows their beautiful long life together and many fans gushed over their relationship in the comments. There’s nothing like having nine children to pull you closer together.

Bear in mind, they have nine of them, including Saylor and the twins. Additionally, Eric works really hard with his ranch livestock and his landscaping businesses. However, all was not completely lost because Courtney shares about the kids almost every single day. Ultimately, the two decided to go forward with the show — but with a caveat. A lot can change in a year, especially for the Waldrop family. The six youngest children are all healthy, and can all swim!
Remember, they lived in it for months on end. But even in the big house, those six three-year-olds were a big handful for their mom. Fortunately, they are two years older than that now and last week they celebrated their fifth birthday. I never missed a show, loved it but understand they need a breask. I really hope the show comes back at some point in the near future though.
Lucky for us, Mum of the Waldrop pack, Courtney shares the family’s antics on Instagram. Her account ‘gods_divine_nine’ has over 500 thousand followers. Courtney frequently updates followers with pictures and highlights of her nine kids so fans can continue to watch them grow.

She jested it would either be a lot of fun or a huge mistake. She, however, hoped fans would shoot off a few prayers that they managed to make it back home with all nine children they leave with. Last summer, the Waldrops took to their YouTube channel to update fans on their family and the future of their show — and the update left fans disappointed but sympathetic. They yearned for one more baby and again sought the help of fertility specialists. That is when Courtney and Eric Waldrop got the life-changing news. They would be expecting sextuplets this time around.
