Courtney, too, said that she initially thought that "Sweet Home Sextuplets" would get a fourth season — they got approached, and they first agreed to it. "But then we started talking about some things — and filming is really hard," she said, noting the show was especially tough on the older boys. And ultimately, TLC decided during this time of indecision that it wouldn't continue the series. "It was almost God's way of shutting that door," Courtney concluded. It’s time they take a break, at least, to move the babies forward as they now enter pre school and the older ones start sports. Having to deal with production wanting to set shots, want do-overs, following your every move, equipment and crew crammed in a small room with hot lights.
How some can consider her “hypocritical” is insane. They made a decision that was best for their family and not for their fans. Do I think she should be asking for prayers?
Prayers go a long way for people who have faith. Walk a mile in her shoes before you judge her. If you don’t like how she acts or what she posts then unfollow her. I absolutely love this show and especially their faith in God. The show allows them to express that and that is very rare nowadays. I am very saddened by their choice to end the show, but completely understand why they made the choice.

In a video they posted to theirYouTube channel in July 2021, Eric and Courtney Waldrop answeredtheir fans' questions. The couple explained that TLC first approached them about doing the series when Courtney was still pregnant with the sextuplets, and they weren't sure how it would pan out. Over the last few days, Courtney Waldrop has been sharing photos of the kids on their birthday. In the first post, she showed all of the kids outside as they held hands.
She jested it would either be a lot of fun or a huge mistake. She, however, hoped fans would shoot off a few prayers that they managed to make it back home with all nine children they leave with. Last summer, the Waldrops took to their YouTube channel to update fans on their family and the future of their show — and the update left fans disappointed but sympathetic. They yearned for one more baby and again sought the help of fertility specialists. That is when Courtney and Eric Waldrop got the life-changing news. They would be expecting sextuplets this time around.
Remember, they lived in it for months on end. But even in the big house, those six three-year-olds were a big handful for their mom. Fortunately, they are two years older than that now and last week they celebrated their fifth birthday. I never missed a show, loved it but understand they need a breask. I really hope the show comes back at some point in the near future though.
